We are always looking out for Ice creams and desserts when we travel, whether it is Huckleberry Ice cream in Wyoming or the Egg tarts or other desserts in Portugal. There was one time we spent an entire afternoon looking for this cool & whimsical Ice cream shop in Girano, Spain. When we can’t go too far, these Plano Ice Cream Parlors are mini getaways that take us back to the canals of Venice or Lavender fields in Provence.
Amorino is an Ice cream shop located in Legacy West with roots in Europe. While you will find their locations all over the world, there are only a few in the US and we are lucky to have their Ice cream parlor in Plano. The flower shaped cones made from their creamy gelato have made many appearances on Instagram. We have had their famous flower cone Ice creams in Italy when we visited Venice and Verona. They have vegan & gluten-free flavors as well that can be made into flower-shaped cones.
This pop shop is located inside Legacy Hall in Plano. Berrynaked’s colorful popsicles and purées are made from natural and fresh ingredients, there are no preservatives, no artificial sugars, no color dyes. The pops in their vitality line are so pretty, my favorite is the Blueberry Pomegranate Rose. All my favorites in one popsicle! You can get coffee or vanilla bars and add dips or drizzles of chocolate as well. They offer curbside pickup or on orders over $25 they can do contact-less delivery to your home and drop it off at the front door. Call 214-242-0077, and you can pay over the phone.
Ben & Jerry’s Plano
This is one of our favorite Ice cream brands! Vermont-based ice cream parlor chain has such creative, cleverly named flavors. They always stand up for good causes and are pretty vocal about it. To be honest we rarely make it to this Ice Cream store in Plano but the prepackages pints (available at Tom Thumb and Neighborhood Walmart) are a staple are our house. Delivery is available through Caviar, Postmates, UberEats, GrubHub and EZCater. They have the cutest Ice cream carts and Cowmobiles that are perfect for events.

Henry’S Homemade Ice Cream shop has been around in Plano, Texas since 1992. You can find them in over 700 restaurants in the DFW area or you can visit their retail location on Independence. They have many flavors and ice cream cakes to choose from. When Miss Peachy was a Girl Scout, we used to go there to sell cookies and to celebrate a good Girl Scout year. Henry would always purchase cookies to make Girl Scout Cookie-themed flavors.
Handel’s Ice Cream Shop in Plano
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream store in Plano makes their flavors fresh daily on site. The store is clean with a nice area outside to sit and enjoy the generous scoops. You just have to be fast, the ice creams melts quickly in the Texas heat. We loved the Blue Monster, Oreo dough and Java flavors and they have little pup-friendly scoops for your furry friends.
Another one of our favorite dessert shops is inside the Legacy Food Hall in Plano. When that sweet craving hits we head on over to Haute Sweets. The patisserie has the best tarts, cakes, french macarons and I LOVE their lavender honey ice cream. It takes me back to the fields of Provence and the scoop of ice cream we had in Gordes, France! This Call 214-856-0166 for current flavors and for curbside pickup. They are currently closed and will open end of July.
Milky Treats Ice Cream
MilkyTreats has some of the most unique flavors, they are fun and edgy. Black velvet anyone? The scoops of activated coconut charcoal with red velvet bits, taste just like red velvet but leaves you with black lips! They once had a hot Cheetos swirl! We get the Unicorn Brownie here. This Ice cream store in Plano is a hidden gem, it is located on the intersection of Independence and Legacy, facing Legacy. They used to be open late, check the hours before you go. Treats from Milky Treats are also delivered by GrubHub, DoorDash, UberEats which is handy during these times!
