Wondering where to eat in Plano, or where to order your next take-out meal from, we got you covered. Here is a list of all the Plano restaurants we have dined at and LOVED. These are restaurants in Plano that afforded a little escape in the form of a meal and allow us to escape the ‘burbs for a bit. A list of the very best restaurants in Plano!

Dining out in the different Plano Restaurants is a favorite pastime when we are home. Although we have lived here for several years, I rarely share about Plano activities or attractions other than the hiking trails in Plano (which is our other favorite thing to do). But with COVID-19, Plano restaurants have been hurt and seeing a subsequent loss of business. I wanted to do my part in showing my support and give a shoutout to all my favorite places to eat in Plano.

Plano Legacy West Restaurants
Plano has several pockets of dining areas, so let’s start with the newest one. Legacy West. With seasonal photo booths for selfies, fun fountains that dance to music, fancy cars that make the rounds in the evenings, it is a vibrant cultural district in Plano to shop, dine or people watch.
Tommy Bahama
7501 Windrose Ave, Plano
You can enjoy beachy vibes at the expansive patio at Tommy Bahama. Dallas is definitely landlocked, but a visit to Tommy Bahama, one of our favorite restaurants in the Legacy West, Plano helps you get some beachy vibes. Stepping into the breezy open 2000 sq ft patio with the louvered roof and rattan looking furniture makes you instantly feel like you are in the islands.
The restaurant features handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, rum drinks. I love their macadamia crusted goatcheese and salads. The family usually orders the Caribbean rubbed Mahi Mahi, jerk chicken, and coconut shrimps.

Taverna
7400 Windrose Ave B130, Plano
Part of the Lombardi family restaurants, Taverna is one of our favorites restaurants in Plano we go to when we miss Italy. The Paglia E Fieno is a family favorite, made with wild mushrooms, truffle oil in a cream sauce, you can get it with or without the chicken.
The warm bread that you dip in fresh pesto is absolutely divine and you can’t miss the Tiramisu. If you like seafood get the pan-seared sea bass or grilled Branzino and the risotto.

Cava
7501 Windrose Ave Suite D170, Plano
Founded by three first-generation Greek Americans, Cava is where you will find healthy Mediterranean dishes full of flavor. I love that the menu is customizable and composed of fresh ingredients all made in-house every day. I get my bowls with rightrice (a high protein and high fiber grain made from vegetables, lentils, chickpeas, and peas) and falafels.
KĀI
7301 Windrose Ave C200, Plano
We also love Kai, another restaurant in the Lombardi family concept. Kai is a modern Asian restaurant in Plano. The elegant lounge is perfect for a date night or to catch up with friends. The pear and lychee and yuzu gimlet are yummy and they have great sushi rolls and sashimi.
I love that they have quite a few vegetarian options like eggplant miso, Thai red curry, and Asian style Ahi Tuna Pizza (I ask the chef to make a vegetarian version and it is delicious).

Del Frisco’s Steakhouse
7501 Windrose Ave Suite D170, Plano
Looking for a Plano steakhouse for a special celebration or to take clients, then you will like this Plano restaurant with an impeccable menu and excellent wine list(inhouse sommeliers can help you pick from their extensive wine list). The Texas-based company serves only the best hand-cut, USDA Prime steaks, and freshest seafood.
While there are not many vegetarian dishes, the chef can make a nice pasta dish or you can get a few sides. The bread pudding is divine!
Bulla Gastrobar
6007 Legacy Dr #180, Plano
If you want to try some authentic Spanish dishes, head to Bulla Gastrobar for some tapas, the best red wine sangria, and of course awesome paella. Inspired by Madrid’s Tapas scene, Bulla’s creations stir the senses, stimulates your wanderlust and takes you on a mini getaway to Spain.
Start with the Patatas Bravas, Gazpacho Andaluz, Tortilla Espanola (a traditional Spanish omelet) and Croquetas de Jamon (because no trip to Spain is complete without trying some ham aka Jamon).
See some Spanish Recipes and try to make these dishes at home

In-Fretta has been open around since 2018, but what made us take notice was during the pandemic crisis how they helped the community and were feeding people in need. They even have a sign up that says if you can’t afford it, the food is free. Born in India, Ram Mehta who is originally from India follows his mom’s food steps and is committed to giving Food for free to anyone who says they need it, no questions asked.
In-Fretta means “It’s in hurry” in Italian, so the next time you are in a hurry and need some pizza, you order some takeout from In-Fretta. Our favorite is the Achari Paneer, Punjabi Keema and Dallas Cowboys. You can always Build-Your-Own Thin crust Pizza.
