The Fableist Wine Co. is a collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchlin and Andrew Jones. And their wines are known for their affordability and delicious taste.

And it’s a great option for families visiting Paso Robles. Not only do they offer a delicious selection of wines, but they also have an expansive lawn area with games on-site, such as Connect Four and Jenga, to keep the kids entertained.

Plus, they have The Farmhouse, which is a charming country property that may be rented for your next weekend getaway and it’s only steps away from their just-renovated Pomar tasting room.

2) Bianchi Winery

The Bianchi Winery in Paso Robles is a fantastic spot for families wanting to taste different grape varietals while visiting Paso Robles.

They offer a variety of wines, from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to Chardonnay and Sparkling Wines. And they also have a delicious selection of red blends and dessert wines.

But what sets Bianchi apart from other wineries is their Tasting Room. Which is located in the center of the vineyard, with magnificent vistas of breathtaking scenery, a koi-stocked lake, a patio, and a beautiful indoor seating area.

So pack your own picnic, feed the fish, and play bocce ball, while enjoying delicious Paso Robles wines. It’s just the perfect place to enjoy with the family. Just be sure to bring a blanket!

3) Austin Hope Family Winery

Austin Hope Family winery is one of the most popular wineries in Paso Robles, and for good reason. They offer a variety of world-class red wines, white wines, and rose wines. But what makes them stand out is their Cabernet Sauvignon.

Their Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon is one of my favorite Cabernets from Paso Robles and is a must-try for any wine lover.

Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar offers seated tastings of award-winning wines in a relaxed, enjoyable manner. They have large, unique tasting rooms with a mix of eclectic design, lounges, and outdoor cabanas overlooking the estate vines.

I would recommend their patio seating, cabana lounge, or picnic tables for a family-friendly tasting.

4) Chronic Cellars

Chronic Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery, founded in 2005 by brothers Jake and Josh. They are known for their fun, fruit-forward wines with quirky names and labels.

Their most popular wine, Purple Paradise, is a delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre. And it’s the perfect wine to enjoy on any sunny California day.

Their tasting room is located in Paso Robles and is the perfect place to enjoy their wines with family and friends. They have a large patio area with plenty of seating and games for the kids. You and your kids can play a game of cornhole while enjoying the views of the vineyards. Plus, their staff is always friendly and welcoming.

5) Daou Winery

Daou Winery is a family-run winery, founded by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou. They are known for their Bordeaux-style wines, specifically their affordably priced Cabernet Sauvignon.

Their tasting room is located on a hilltop overlooking the vineyards and provides stunning panoramic views of Paso Robles.

I would recommend their patio for a family-friendly tasting. It’s the perfect place to enjoy their award-winning wines while taking in the incredible views.

6) Sculpterra Winery

Sculpterra Winery has grown into a fine portfolio of exceptional wines, fine art, and a fabulous sculpture garden that greets visitors and creates an exciting wine tasting experience.

The Sculpture Garden has cutting-edge art from local California artists. It’s a large space for you and your family to explore. And your kids will love all the animal sculptures including the enchanting 10-foot bronze “Mermaid” rising from the fountain, the 20,000 Lb. granite “Puma”, and the 16 ft. tall bronze “Dancing Horse”.

7) Tobin James Winery

Tobin James Winery was founded in 1987 by Tobin James and is one of the most popular wineries in Paso Robles. They offer a variety of red wines, white wines, and dessert wines.

Their tasting room is located 8 miles east of Paso Robles and is the perfect place to enjoy their wines with family and friends.

They have a large patio area with plenty of seating and games for the kids. They have a few video games in the tasting room that usually keep the kids occupied while the adults taste. Plus, their staff is always friendly and welcoming.
