The Spanish word “Granada” actually means “pomegranate” and you will find the motif hidden in many places around the city.
The Unesco World Heritage Site, Alhambra Palace and Gardens is one of the most visited sites in Spain.
Alhambra was the Palace that Isabelle and Ferdinand lived at while they conquered the region.
The Alhambra was built with its own special type of column, which is not used in any other buildings around the world.
The Patio of the Lions (Patio de los Leones) is probably the most famous place in the Alhambra.
When you are at the Hall of the Abencerrajes, look up. The plasterwork is almost like lace.
Close to the Alhambra, stop at Bar Los Diamantes for lunch or tapas, especially seafood.
Albaicín Quarter
Albaicín, the Arab Quarter is an area where Nasrid and Renaissance architecture still shines. It is the spot to see a sunset in Granada.
Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Sierra Nevada National Park are worth exploring as a day trip from Granada
