Opened on Valentine\u2019s Day in 2013, Miracle Garden is located in Dubai <\/a>attracts more than 1.5 million visitors a year. You probably have seen photos of the Miracle Garden in Dubai in social media or other places but is it worth the trip? Here is what to expect at the Miracle Garden at Dubai…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dubai Miracle Garden has earned Two Guinness Book of World Records so far: One for the largest floral installation, a life-size model of the Emirates Airbus A380 and the tallest topiary structure, the Mickey Mouse replica. They are worth seeing but everything else is just a photo op IMHO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 60 different varieties of flowers at the Dubai Miracle Garden, including many petunias, geraniums and marigolds. All of them in pots and the flowers are preserved by re-using waste water through drip irrigation. Given that this is desert, it is an enormous undertaking. But it stops there, this is no Dallas Arboretum<\/a> that we visit every year or Butchart Gardens<\/a>, it is more of a theme park with potted plants in various shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was expecting more of a Garden. When I read that the Miracle Garden at Dubai is a horticultural marvel, I guess I was looking forward to more, like learning about plants indigenous to the area, seeing some local flowers. I was disappointed. Nevertheless, it is a great place for taking photos while visiting Dubai… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
