A Mavs Winter Wonderland

We stepped outside suburbia last weekend to watch the NBA team Dallas Mavericks play  It was such a fun and festive evening.  South Concourse of the American Airlines center was setup like a Winter Wonderland for a pre-game party.  There was Mr and Mrs Clause, Elf and other winter characters.  Kids loved taking photos with Santa as he listened to their Christmas wishes and requests.  There was music and Christmas magic making it a perfect evening for families and helping everyone getting into the holiday spirit.

This is one thing we love about Dallas Fort Worth, the number of sporting events we get to enjoy – from Texas Ranger to Dallas Cowboys to Dallas Mavericks, we are home to some amazing teams.  Did you know that you don’t need to get separate tickets for kids under 2 for the Mavs games.  They plan a lot of fun activities, do birthday shout-outs and it is super family friendly.

Uptown Mommy

We met this cute mama and her little curly haired boy… who was having the best time clutching his Mavs soft-toy while curiously watching the game.  Since I didn’t get a photo with Santa in Wonderland, here is a photo of the little boy that her mama Uptown Mommy graciously shared with me.  This new age mamma, originally from Mumbai who lives in Uptown Dallas shows you how to balance work, life, and a toddler… in style!

Also got to meet Bree, the wonder woman behind The Iman Project in person.  Bree hosts such amazing events that brings Family, Friends and Community together — one workshop at a time, sharing meals, memories and moments.  Attending one of her workshops and get those creative juices flowing while making some new friends is on my todo list for 2019!

Mavs Winter Wonderland

While we didn’t take any photos with Santa ( had to let all those little ones get their turn 🙂 ) we did catch him in the hallway and sneaked in a photo with Mr Claus and his Elf.

Our event was in the suite at the Platinum level and the food catered from Levy Restaurants.  We enjoyed the drinks, nibbled on the snacks and watched the Dallas Mavericks play against the Houston Rockets.  It was a great game – Dallas Mavericks extended their home-court winning streak to nine games with a 107-104 victory over the Houston Rockets with Doncic  scoring 11 consecutive points in the fourth quarter.

Too bad D couldn’t go with us to the game.  With a trip coming up and semester exams, our high schooler was knee deep into school work on Saturday.  But we made sure we got him a Mavs hoodie from The Hanger at American Airlines center and filled him on the stuff he missed!

Thanks for having us Dallas Mavericks!
