Back to School

Speaking of Fall, who else is excited that the kids are back in school!? Although classes are still online they will be in some sort of schedule. I’m happy that we will have some sort of schedule! It’s been a few months of crazy hours, nocturnal video game sessions and breakfast at 2pm! We got both the kids set up with chairs and tables in their rooms so they will have their own space to be on zoom calls for online classes and I can enjoy some quiet time with a nice cup of coffee before my work hours.

Waiting for the arrival of Autumn

While we have no trips planned for Fall, I’m excited for cooler temperatures, lounging in cozy layers and just slowing down a bit. Its been a constant whirlwind of ups and downs since March. Emotionally and Physically! Not to mention being couped up in the house, we are starting to get on each other’s nerves here!

Fall colors in Central Park, NYC

I fondly remember the time we make a quick stopover one November in New York and going for a walk in Central Park when the leaves were at their peak fall colors. I have no doubt NYC will bounce back and we will be there again to see her in all her glory! I’m dreaming of a road trip to Colorado this year to see some Fall colors. Fingers crossed! Then again, at this point, I will be happy if we get our backyard situation together so we can start having some friends back over to enjoy brunch and coffee or cocktails… while maintaining our social distanced of course.

Move over Pumpkin Spice Latte, there is a new coffee flavor for Fall

The nice folks at Torani sent over their newest syrup, Butter Pecan and I have been adding it to my morning coffee and love the rich, buttery, sweet candied pecans you can taste in every sip.

If you didn’t know, Torani is an amazing flavor company with a deeply rooted heritage. Established in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood in 1925, Torani has enticed flavor adventurists with its popular syrups and sauces, putting Italian soda on the map and making the world’s first flavored latte.

  1. That latte sounds amazing and sooo tasty. I just dont know if I can have it as I am allergic to walnuts and pecan is a type of walnut.

  2. Going to save this recipe, and look for this Torani syrup the next time I’m grocery shopping. Sounds like the perfect fall treat. And to make it at home, a bonus!
